Leicester can top their Champions League group after easing to a debut win over Club Brugge, says Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier.

The Foxes looked comfortable in their new European surroundings as they beat their lacklusture counterparts 3-0, with Riyad Mahrez scoring twice and Marc Albrighton also on the scoresheet.

The win sees them top Group G after Porto were held to a draw by Copenhagen in the other fixture, and former striker Le Tissier thinks Claudio Ranieri's men can win the group.

"Leicester will cause problems to any team in the Champions League. The way they go about their business, I don't think there are too many teams out there who Leicester won't fancy their chances of giving a game, and I really believe that.

"When you looked at the group first off, you thought 'they've got a chance here' and after watching them tonight, they could top this group.

"It was absolutely incredible. After the chance that Brugge missed in the first couple of minutes, Leicester completely dominated that football match.

"They wiped the floor with Brugge in the end with their constant pressing and Brugge made some basic errors at the back. They kept trying to play out from the back and gave the ball away too cheaply."

There had been plenty of specualtion as to the future of Mahrez and Jamie Vardy during the summer but both signed new contracts with Leicester, and starred at the Jan Breydel Stadium.

Alongside the Algeria international's brace, Vardy was constant source of nuisance for the Brugge defence and won the penalty after being fouled by goalkeeper Ludovic Butelle.

Le Tissier praised the duo for their performance.

"Brugge haven't been fantastic this season so far and I just thought that the energy and spark that Leicester have, they've got those players that can make a difference in the game," the Sky Sports pundit said.

"When you look at Vardy and Mahrez, I don't look at them and think 'oh, they might not have a spark in a big game like this', they look like big game players to me.

"They certainly proved that tonight because the pair of them were very, very good.

"Vardy was a pain in the backside for the Brugge back three all night. Two of their centre-backs got yellow carded in the first half just because of pressure from Vardy.

"Brugge were on the back foot from very early on. You could see from that first goal that the whole team kind of lifted and when Mahrez smashed in the free kick for the second, even at that stage, you struggled to see Brugge getting back into the game."
