In his latest podcast, Gary Neville ponders which club is leading the race for second behind Premier League leaders Manchester City.

With Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham all enjoying league wins on the weekend, Neville considers whether his former club have the edge with 10 games to go…

Premier League table - Top six

# Team Pl GD Pts
1 Man City 27 59 72
2 Man Utd 28 33 59
3 Liverpool 28 33 57
4 Tottenham 28 29 55
5 Chelsea 28 25 53
6 Arsenal 27 15 45

I watched the first 20 minutes of the United-Chelsea game and it looked like Chelsea were on top and obviously got the goal. I didn't see it but I thought it was going to be a difficult game because Chelsea's record against United at Old Trafford and at Stamford Bridge is good.

So for United, that was a big, big win. If you're Tottenham or Liverpool, you probably wanted United to win in some ways because keeping Chelsea back down there, rather than coming up and it becoming a little bit more competitive.

So I think for Tottenham it's the result they would have wanted. For United, it's certainly the result they would have wanted. It's a big win.

I think United have to finish second to show progress from where they were. It still can't be classed as good enough, they had to win the league this year, but ultimately it is progression - but not good enough.

From a point of view of second, I would say just United. I think United are stronger than the others and that they will finish second.

In the interesting game is the one we've got in a couple of weeks, the Manchester United-Liverpool game at Old Trafford. That will go a long way to deciding it but I think United will come out on top overall this season.

There are a lot of big games to come. The race for top four is so important. What I would say about Arsenal is that I don't see them challenging for the top four this season, I think they're done.

It's Tottenham, Liverpool, United and Chelsea for those other three spots. We always said that for Arsenal the top four was the saving grace, but they've not got that anymore. In the last few years it's been a cup, but the cup has gone again here.
