Gary Neville thinks Sunday's results were perfect for Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham as the race for the top four took another twist.
Antonio Conte's men finish a pulsating set of Premier League fixtures seven points clear at the top of the Premier League after Liverpool failed to significantly close the gap with just a draw against Manchester United.
Sunday's results leaves Tottenham as Chelsea's nearest pursuers after they gave their goal difference a boost following their 4-0 victory over West Brom. Liverpool are level on points with Spurs but have an inferior goal difference.
Arsenal are a point both behind Tottenham and Liverpool in fourth while both Manchester clubs - City and United - find themselves out of the top four in fifth and sixth, respectively.
Pep Guardiola's men suffered a humbling 4-0 defeat at Everton - a result that sees them sit an imposing 10 points behind leaders Chelsea.
“It was an incredible result. It was a strange game for Man City - they looked all over the place,” Neville said on the Gary Neville Podcast.
“At the start of the season, I thought both Manchester clubs would be pushing for the title at this stage. At this moment in time, they’re off it. Although United look happier than City at the minute.”
Chelsea made light work of Diego Costa's absence on Saturday against Leicester after reports of a bust-up with boss Antonio Conte.
Neville admits he was surprised to hear of Costa's unhappiness at the club.
“I was speaking to a couple of Chelsea players a few weeks back," he said.
"They were saying ‘Costa is fantastic in training every single day - his spirit and personality is back'.
"When you heard the news, it sounded like Chelsea were trying to self-harm – what are they doing?
"I wondered how it would impact their performance against Leicester and fair do's to them.
"You could have switched off after the first goal as you knew they were going to win. They were in control. They were solid. If they lost, then Conte would have had serious questions to answer."
