Crystal Palace v Everton preview: Joel Robles to keep place?

Sam Allardyce will be hunting for his first Premier League win as Crystal Palace boss against Everton at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Palace knocked Sky Bet League One side Bolton out of the FA Cup on Tuesday, their first win in six matches under Allardyce, whose team sit outside the relegation zone by just one point.

Clean sheets have been in short supply at Palace, who have kept just one in their last 26 Premier League games.

Meanwhile, Ronald Koeman has changed Everton fortunes round in recent weeks. The Toffees had registered just one win in 10 league games but have won four of the last six, including an impressive 4-0 victory against Manchester City on Super Sunday last weekend.

Koeman has to decide which goalkeeper to play.

Maarten Stekelenburg is now fully fit after missing five games with a dead leg but Joel Robles has seized his chance in the Dutch stopper's absence and may well keep his place.

Leighton Baines is suffering with a slight rib complaint but should be fit, leaving Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Muhamed Besic and Yannick Bolasie as Everton's only injury absentees.

Merson's prediction

Everton thrashed Man City 4-0 but then the week before they went out of the FA Cup at home to Leicester. When you watched Leicester at home to Chelsea you had to wonder how they've beaten anybody.

Everton are like a bag of Revels, you just don't know what you're going to get. One minute they are brilliant then the next they are shooting themselves in the foot. Despite Palace's recent problems, Selhurst Park is a difficult place to go, so I'm going for a 1-1 draw.

PAUL PREDICTS: 1-1 (5/1 with Sky Bet)

Betting

Sky Bet make Everton their marginal favourites at 13/10 ahead of their trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles picked up their first win under new manager Sam Allardyce in the FA Cup in midweek and can be backed at 21/10 to continue that momentum into this Premier League assignment and claim all three points. It's 23/10 against the draw, with 1-1 topping the correct score market at 5/1.

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is the marginal favourite to open the scoring and he's 11/8 in the anytime betting, with Palace hitman Christian Benteke 5/1 and 15/8 in the respective markets.
