Tottenham Hotspur travel to FC Qarabag in the UEFA Europa League knowing a win will secure their place in the last 32 of the tournament.

Mauricio Pochettino's side face a six-hour flight to Baku and the Tottenham manager must decide whether to return home immediately after the match, which kicks off at 6pm UK time.

If Spurs do opt for that option, then they will arrive in London in the early hours of Friday morning, with the club due to host Chelsea on Sunday lunch time.

"Maybe we come back, straight back, and we give the players the day off on Friday," Pochettino said.

"Maybe you need to wait two hours at the airport and for us, it's better to go straight after the game and get to England as soon as possible, and give maybe Friday off for recovery."

If Tottenham beat bottom-of-the-table Qarabag, they will have guaranteed their place in the knockout phase of the competition with a match still to play in Group J.

And the visitors arrive in the Azerbaijani capital having lost just once in their last 10 games in all competitions, an impressive run that has seen them move up to fifth in the Premier League.
