The biggest-ever season of Premier League football on Sky Sports is about to get underway and ahead of the kick-off pundit Jamie Redknapp has selected his best XI from England's top flight.

But who has made it into the former Liverpool and Tottenham captain's line-up?

Read on to find out…

Goalkeeper - David de Gea

In goal, Redknapp opted for Manchester United shot-stopper De Gea. The Spaniard kept 15 clean sheets in the Premier League last season, helping United to the joint-best defensive record in the division. De Gea made it into the PFA team of the year and the Sky Sports pundit is backing him to have another impressive campaign.

Pacey Arsenal right-back Bellerin and Manchester United's fit-again left-back Shaw fill the full-back positions in Redknapp's XI, with the two 21-year-olds adding an attacking threat down the wings, as well as their defensive abilities. At centre-back, Manchester City's Kompany gets the nod alongside Tottenham's Alderweireld.

Redknapp's XI includes a superstar midfield trio of Manchester City's De Bruyne, Chelsea's Kante and Manchester United's Pogba. Those clubs have paid a combined £174m for their three talents and together they'd form a blend of creativity, energy and defence at the heart of this team.

Attack - Alexis Sanchez, Sergio Aguero, Eden Hazard

Despite the arrival of a number of high-profile attackers in England this summer, Redknapp has gone for three experienced Premier League players in his front three. Leading the line will be Manchester City ace Aguero, who has scored 102 goals in 150 Premier League games since his 2011 switch from Atletico Madrid. He's supported by 2014/15 player of the year Hazard, who's aiming to bounce back from a frustrating season with Chelsea, and Arsenal's key man Sanchez, who is fresh from winning the Copa America with Chile.

Manager - Pep Guardiola

There are a whole host of top class managers in the Premier League this season, with Antonio Conte arriving to join the likes of Jose Mourinho, Jurgen Klopp, Mauricio Pochettino, Arsene Wenger and last season's title-winning boss Claudio Ranieri. But Redknapp has gone for new Manchester City chief Guardiola to manage his all-star XI. With 18 major honours to his name as a manager, the Spaniard certainly has the qualifications.
