Rangers and Hibernian progress to Scottish Cup final after penalties

There was drama in the Scottish Cup semi-finals at the weekend as both matches were decided on penalties.

Hibernian were the first side to reach the final after a 4-2 shootout victory over Dundee United on Saturday.

Debutant Conrad Logan saved two penalties to book Hibs' place in the final after the match finished goalless.

"It's like a fairytale and I'm just delighted it went so well," said Logan, who was playing in his first game since arriving from Leicester City in March.

Hibs will face Rangers in the final after they beat Old Firm rivals Celtic in a thrilling second semi-final on Sunday.

Rangers led twice, once in normal time and once in extra-time, but Celtic fought back to force penalties.

Tom Rogic missed the decisive spot-kick for Ronny Deila's side as Rangers won 5-4 in the shootout to advance to the final on May 21.

"Our message before the game was do what you've done all season just do it better against the number one team in the country and I think we did that today," said Rangers boss Mark Warburton.
