Reading manager Jaap Stam remains interested in securing the services of Leicester defender Liam Moore according to Sky Sports sources.
Stam has already raided Le Havre for striker Joseph Mendes, while bringing in midfielder John Swift from Chelsea and goalkeeper Anssi Jaakkola.
And the Dutchman is looking for defensive reinforcements, with Moore, who can play at full-back or centre-back, a priority target.
The 23-year-old had spells on loan at Brentford and Bristol City last season and did not make an appearance for Leicester in their Premier League title-winning campaign.
Moore has one year remaining on his current deal at the King Power Stadium.
Reading are keen to complete the deal before their Championship opener against Preston at the Madejski Stadium next Saturday.
