Jake Forster-Caskey struck a late winner as Stevenage moved back into the play-off places in League One with a scrappy 1-0 victory over fellow contenders Blackpool.
Stevenage moved above Oxford in the table as they secured a third consecutive win to keep their dreams of a second straight promotion alive, while the Seasiders fell six points off the play-off places.
Blackpool almost took a seventh-minute lead when Marvin Ekpiteta got his head to Albie Morgan's corner, but Stevenage goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray got down well to save.
Stevenage then threatened themselves when Harvey White nodded the ball into the path of top scorer Jamie Reid and Dan Grimshaw had to show sharp reflexes to keep out his effort.
It was then MacGillivray's turn to shine again as he to be at full stretch to keep out Ollie Norburn's fizzing 25-yard effort.
Just when the game looked to be drifting to a tame conclusion, substitute Forster-Caskey snatched victory for Stevenage in the 85th minute with a deflected shot from Jordan Roberts' lay-off.
