Hampden Park will host Scotland's friendly against Costa Rica on March 23, the Scottish FA has announced.
Scotland will prepare for their 2018 UEFA Nations League campaign starting with a clash with Costa Rica, followed by friendlies against Hungary, Peru and Mexico.
The only previous meeting between the two sides ended in a shock 1-0 win for Costa Rica at the 1990 FIFA World Cup in Italy.
The match could be the first for a new Scotland boss, with the side currently without a manager following Gordon Strachan's departure in October.
Sky Sports News understands the SFA board are still intent on finding a new manager in time for the March friendlies.
The Scots were one of the top seeds in League C for the UEFA Nations League and were drawn against Albania and Israel, ahead of the first round of matches for the 2018/2019 season starting in September.
