Marcus Rashford made England's senior squad this month, so what was he doing boarding the U21 bus to Kazakhstan on Tuesday?

Rashford was filmed by the Football Association joining his old U21 team-mates as they left St George's Park to set off on the long journey to Aktobe.

The Manchester United forward is hoping to play some part in the senior side's upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia, and surely not even a teenager's stamina stretches to travelling 2,857 miles east of Wembley as a warm-up?

There's no chance of Rashford running himself into the ground with such a schedule. The FA has confirmed Rashford was simply wishing the U21s good luck as they aim to seal Euro 2017 qualification this week.

The man branded a "superstar" in the making by none other than Wayne Rooney has not forgotten his roots, even if those roots amount to a single U21 appearance (and a hat-trick...) last month.
