Marcus Rashford to be invited to train with England before Euro 2016

Marcus Rashford will be invited to train with the England squad before their forthcoming friendlies against Australia and Portugal for experience but will not be included in the Euro 2016 squad, according to Sky sources.

Hodgson and his coaching staff have been so impressed with the teenager's impact at Old Trafford in the last three months they have invited him to train with the senior squad prior to this summer's tournament.

Hodgson names his provisional squad for Euro 2016 on Monday May 16.

Rashford, who has yet to win an U21 cap but has one international appearance at U20 level to his name, and has also featured previously at U16 and U18 level.

The arrangement to bring him in for some experience of the senior squad is similar to what happened with John Stones and Jon Flanagan before the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Rashford and the rest of the United players cannot be with the squad for the friendly with Turkey at the City of Manchester stadium on May 22 because of their involvement in the FA Cup final the day before.
