Harry Kane believes England's attackers will only get better due to the quality of those competing for a place at Euro 2016.

Saturday's 3-2 win over world champions Germany in Berlin showed Roy Hodgson's men have the potential to make life tough for the continent's best this summer.

England's pressing and positivity meant they were a constant nuisance at the Olympiastadion, even without the injured Wayne Rooney and Raheem Sterling.

Jamie Vardy and Kane's impressive goalscoring displays were timely, with Hodgson naming his Euro 2016 squad on May 12 and the competition for attacking berths likely to cause the manager a headache.

"I am sure he wants that," Kane said. "He wants everyone on top form and applying themselves well. You want the best players to be on form come the Euros.

"I am sure it is a problem he enjoys having. All we can do is keep doing what we are doing, to keep playing as we have great belief.

"Wayne and Raheem are great players and I am sure they will be back in the squad. Everyone is fighting for places and it is what this country needs. It will only make us better players."

Kane's display brought a fourth goal in just nine England appearances, fuelling the Premier League top-scorer's already sky-high confidence.

The Spurs striker feels like he can score against any club or country, with his form and the other options at Hodgson's disposal raising an interesting question over where captain Rooney should fit into the team this summer.

"That is not my decision," Kane said. "That is down to the boss.

The Sunday Supplement panel discuss whether captain Wayne Rooney can get back in the side for Euro 2016

"Wayne is a fantastic player, he is our skipper and is a great person to have around and Roy has made it clear he wants him involved, but that is not my choice.

"That's his choice and all I can do is keep working hard and give the manager a problem."
