Arsenal transfer target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been named in Borussia Dortmund's squad to play Freiburg on Saturday.
Officials from the Premier League side have been in Germany this week to discuss a deal for the forward, although they had a bid in excess of £50m rejected on Wednesday.
Aubameyang has not played for Dortmund since December 16 due to a combination of the Bundesliga's winter break and being dropped for poor discipline.
The 28-year-old missed the draws with Wolfsburg and Hertha Berlin after Dortmund head coach Peter Stoger said he was "not so focused at the moment."
Sky Sports News reported on Thursday that Olivier Giroud would not be moving to Dortmund as part of the potential Aubameyang deal, despite reports he may move on loan to the Westfalenstadion.
When asked on Friday about Arsenal's pursuit of Aubameyang, Arsene Wenger said: "I cannot tell you more, nothing to announce today. At the moment we stay where we are. It's still possible [something could happen] but we are far from being close."
