Thomas Muller says Bayern Munich will have to cope with Atletico Madrid's 'antics' during Wednesday's Champions League semi-final first leg.
In the previous two seasons, the German side have been knocked out of Europe's premier competition by Spanish teams at the last-four stage and high-flying Atletico are expected to offer a stern test at the Vicente Calderon.
Diego Simeone's side have become renowned for their physical approach, and Muller says Bayern must not be intimidated ahead of this week's clash.
"We have our eyes wide open," said Germany forward Muller. "There will be antics and many one-on-ones in the grey area. It's something we'll have to adjust to."
Atletico are level on points with Barcelona at the top of La Liga, and former Barca boss Pep Guardiola says his Bayern team are expecting to face a 'dangerous' opponent.
"They have a big heart and a very good mentality. This is a top, top team. They are very, very dangerous," said Guardiola.
"I know exactly how special Atletico's team is and how much determination they play with. The biggest title that Atletico have won with Simeone and his coaching staff is to be compared with Barca and Real Madrid and that in Europe they are as feared as Barca or Madrid.
"Any team can win one year, but continuity and continuing to win year after year is the most difficult thing in sport and that is what they have achieved."
Jerome Boateng has said he is 'ready' to return to Bayern's starting line-up for the first time since January, but despite the inclusion of the defender, chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is wary of an 'unpleasant' match.
"Of course we have a goal and that's to reach the final and continue living this dream," said Rummenigge.
"Any team who can shut out Barcelona has a lot of quality. This team can hurt anyone and be very unpleasant to play against."
