Sevilla president Jose Castro appears to have ruled out the prospect of manager Unai Emery leaving the club.
Everton reportedly have the three-time Europa League-winning Spaniard on their short-list to replace the sacked Roberto Martinez at Goodison Park.
However, Castro insists Emery, who was a 6/1 chance with Sky Bet on Wednesday afternoon to be the next Everton boss, will not be leaving the La Liga club.
"The coach has understood our idiosyncrasies perfectly," Castro told Sevilla TV.
"He is crazy about football, the hours he puts in, how he manages the squad. I say that now after being successful, but also at the start of the season.
"I can tell you he has said he is not on the market, and is not thinking about anything else."
The last of Emery's three consecutive Europa League triumphs with Sevilla was secured with a win over Everton's arch-rivals Liverpool.
Emery also oversaw a run to the Copa del Rey final this year, Sevilla eventually losing out 2-0 to Barcelona.
