Barcelona and Brazil striker Neymar has revealed he is set to make a leap into the world of music.
Neymar, one third of Barcelona's prolific attacking trio alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, says he will post his first track on his official Facebook account on Wednesday.
Speaking after Barca's shock 2-1 defeat to newly-promoted Alaves, Neymar confirmed the release, tweeting: "Wednesday I start my music career. We will have 'Neymusico'. Share it."
The 24-year-old has built up something of a cult status in Brazil as well as around the world and is often seen brushing shoulders with famous musicians.
He has also appeared on stage with Brazilian singer-songwriter Michel Telo to sing his hit "Ai se eu te pego".
Neymar will be hoping to emulate a number of British footballers who have had varied success when looking to transfer their skill from the pitch to the recording studio.
Glenn Hoddle Chris Waddle, Paul Gascoigne, Ian Wright and Andy Cole have all tried their hand at releasing tracks but failed to scale the heights reached by New Order's 1990 release 'World In Motion', which starred Liverpool and England winger John Barnes.
