Luis Enrique praised Barcelona's ruthlessness in front of goal after they got back to winning ways in emphatic fashion by thrashing Deportivo La Coruna 8-0.

Luis Suarez scored four goals as Barca eased to a first win in five La Liga games to reignite their faltering title challenge, although Enrique insisted his team had not played any differently.

Ivan Rakitic, Lionel Messi, Marc Bartra and Neymar were also on target at Riazor.

"The game was very similar to Valencia (a 2-1 home defeat)," Enrique told a press conference.

"We did a great job today and I don't know if we had more or less chances, but of course we were incredibly effective, that was the fundamental difference.

"This time we had infinite solutions and we moved the ball around midfield really well, but I insist that we did the same against Valencia and look at the result.

"In this job you have to be prepared for everything to happen and always be aware. That's what makes this sport so special."

The result means Barca are on track to retain the La Liga title, if they can win their final four games.

"We have a marvellous challenge in front of us and we are better prepared for it after this spectacular result," added Luis Enrique.

"It was what we wanted, to not concede any goals and win convincingly. The challenge now is to stay up there. This victory was key but we need to be top after 38 games and not 34. It will be difficult."

Suarez reached 30 league goals for the season after hitting the net four times and the Uruguayan said the 8-0 scoreline, Barca's biggest win of the campaign, would help their bid to finish top, ahead of Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

Luis Suarez was guilty of letting a wonderful hat-trick opportunity pass him by

"We had to win no matter what, but we're happier after playing the way we played," he told Canal Plus.

"When you look the scoreline it's positive after the other day (against Valencia) when we missed so many chances."

Suarez also said Barca's recent run of form showed how hard it is to win the league.

"This allows the fans to see that it's not easy at all and you have to play every game," he said.

"You have to play every game, we are humans, not machines. We can still make errors and have a bad day."

He added: "We know that we depend on ourselves and we're convinced that if we keep working like we are working, we'll get our reward. This game demonstrates that we are more united than ever."
