Barcelona legend Ronaldinho believes compatriot Neymar has the ability to become the world's greatest.
Neymar has been in stunning form in recent weeks, easing the pressure on his team-mates in the absence of injured talisman Lionel Messi.
His 10 goals in the eight appearances since Messi damaged knee ligaments against Las Palmas in September have propelled Barca to the summit of La Liga standings and to within a point of qualification for the Champions League knock-out phase.
And two-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldinho, who enjoyed a glittering five-year spell at the Camp Nou, believes Neymar can become peerless.
"He is a phenomenon, the best Brazilian player in the world at the moment," he told Barcelona's official website.
"It's great to see him continue everything that we have done before. It's really nice to see a Brazilian player continue to make history.
"I think he can become the greatest player in the world, he's a great player, a great friend and I hope everything goes really well for him."
Fellow Brazilian legend Rivaldo has gone a step further, claiming Neymar is already at the pinnacle of the game.
The former Barcelona star believes Neymar has surpassed the accomplishments of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo this term and deserves this year's Ballon d'Or - an accolade Rivaldo himself received in 1999.
"I would like to say that it has been good to see Neymar playing for Barcelona, and especially with the No 11 shirt, which I know very well," Rivaldo said on Instagram.
"I do not know who will be 2015 best player in the world, but in my humble opinion, respecting Ronaldo and Messi and others, Neymar deserves to be the best in the world."
