Djibril Sidibe scored his first goal of the season as Lille ended their four-match winless run with a 2-0 victory over Montpellier.
The hosts started brightly and took the lead two minutes before the break when Sofiane Boufal scored from the penalty spot after going down in the area moments earlier.
Lille doubled their advantage in the 64th minute when Sidibe found the top corner with a stunning strike from the edge of the area.
Montpellier were awarded a spot-kick in the 72nd minute when substitute Quentin Cornette was fouled by Sebastien Corchia.
Ryad Boudebouz watched his penalty bounce back off the post before slotting in the rebound, but with no one else having touched the ball in between the goal was disallowed.
