Aberdeen central defender Andy Considine has signed a new two-year contract which keeps him at the club until the summer of 2019.

The 29-year-old, who came through the youth system at Pittodrie, made his first-team debut in May 2004 under Steve Paterson.

Considine is 11th in the list of all time appearances for Aberdeen with 376, and is poised to move above Eoin Jess in 10th position by playing five more games.

During his time with the Dons, Considine, who can also play at left back, has scored 21 goals.
