Joey Barton remains suspended by Rangers and will not return on Monday as initially planned, according to Sky sources.
The midfielder was last month ordered to stay away from the club after rowing with boss Mark Warburon and team-mate Andy Halliday in the wake of the 5-1 defeat at Celtic.
The suspension was due to finish on October 17 - this coming Monday - but it is understood Barton will not now be back at Auchenhowie as scheduled and remains suspended until further notice.
Barton was this week given extra time to consider his response to a Scottish Football Association charge after being accused of placing 44 bets on games in July and September.
SFA disciplinary rules prohibit players, coaches, club officials and referees in Scotland from betting on football worldwide.
The SFA's judicial panel has agreed to push back the hearing from October 27 to November 17.
