Celtic suffered a 4-0 home defeat by Lyon after resting all the players who started in their Champions League win over Linfield.
Summer signings Olivier Ntcham and Kundai Benyu both started the friendly at Celtic Park along with Eboue Kouassi, who has been held back by injury in pre-season,
Striker Moussa Dembele and winger Jonny Hayes - who came off the bench in the 2-0 first-leg win in Belfast - also featured from the start for Celtic.
Benyu had a shot cleared off the line and Callum McGregor had a goal ruled out for offside in a goalless first half but Lyon strengthened at the break and took the lead early in the half when Maxwel Cornet netted on the rebound.
Myziane Maolida, Nabil Fekir and Amine Gouiri completed the scoring for Lyon as Brendan Rodgers gave run-outs to a host of young players including Sam Wardrop, Kerr McInroy, Calvin Miller, Jack Aitchison and Regan Hendry.
