Celtic striker Nadir Ciftci has sealed a loan move to Turkish Super Liga side Eskisehirspor until the end of the season.

The former Dundee United striker - who is represented by Pierre van Hooijdonk - moved to Celtic in the summer but has failed to nail down a regular place in Ronny Deila's side, scored only four goals in 22 appearances.

With Patrick Roberts joining on loan from Manchester City, and Colin Kazim-Richards arriving from Feyenoord, Ciftci has elected to take his chance in his homeland.

A Celtic statement read: "We can confirm that Nadir Ciftci has joined Eskisehirspor on loan until the end of the season. Everyone at Celtic wishes Nadir all the best for his time at Eskisehirspor."

Van Hooijdonk said: "Nadir is currently on his way to Turkey. Nadir just wants to play football and hopefully this will allow him to do that."
