Turkey international Colin Kazim-Richards trades Celtic for Coritiba

Colin Kazim-Richards has left Celtic to join Brazilian side Coritiba, the Scottish champions have announced.

The 29-year-old underwent a medical with Coritiba earlier this week and has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Brazilian Serie A side

"Celtic FC can confirm that Colin Kazim-Richards has left the club and will be joining Coritiba," read a brief statement on Celtic's website.

"Everyone at the club wishes Colin the very best for the future."

Kazim-Richards joined Celtic on a two-and-a-half year deal from Dutch Eredivisie side Feyenoord in January but could only muster two goals in 12 appearances for the Hoops.

The Turkey international, whose previous clubs include Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Olympiakios, began his career at Bury, before joining Brighton and later moving to Sheffield United.

Kazim-Richards will wear the number 10 shirt for his new club.
