Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander hailed a battling display as his side ran out 3-0 winners over in-form Oxford.
Jamille Matt and Ryan Crowther both scored their first League Two goals for the club before substitute Jon Parkin added a late third as Fleetwood put back to back defeats firmly behind them. Alexander said: "We wanted to improve on our last performance at home and we certainly did that, "We wanted to be more competitive and I think we got the rewards for the effort we pit in. "Every one of the lads was fantastic and the result was deserved. "It was a hard-working, intense and professional performance. "We want to get the basics in place and that includes teamwork and a team ethic and we've seen that."Alexander hails battling Town
