Macclesfield and Bristol Rovers produced a 0-0 draw in an exciting encounter with an array of chances at either end.

As early as the second minute in Saturday's League Two clash at Moss Rose, Town's Emile Sinclair lifted a 15-yard drive over the bar, and twice in 60 secondsthe winger raced past the Rovers defence but could not find a finish. Rovers' best chances came midway through the first half, Matt Harrold blasting a 20-yard drive inches wide before Scott McGleish mishit a Craig Stanley cross at the far post with the goal begging. The Cheshire team dominated after the break, Ross Draper thundering a 15-yard volley over the bar before forcing a diving stop from the impressive Scott Bevan with a 35-yard drive. Carl Tremarco was the next to try his luck, Bevan again finger-tipping his 35-yard drive wide. Draper again went close in the 62nd minute but in the dying stages the teams cancelled each other out.
