Forest Green 0-0 Exeter: Grecians miss out on play-offs

Highlights of the Sky Bet League Two match between Forest Green and Exeter.

Exeter missed out on the win they needed to make the Sky Bet League Two play-offs after being held to a 0-0 draw at Forest Green.

With Rovers already assured of a place in the play-offs, it was Exeter who threatened first.

Ryan Bowman skipped beyond Udoka Godwin-Malife, but Lee Holmes then fluffed his opportunity.

Bowman should have opened the scoring a minute later when Forest Green goalkeeper James Montgomery gift-wrapped a chance by scuffing the ball to the Exeter striker but he fired wide of an open goal.

Martin was proving a dangerous outlet and his arching cross saw Hiram Boateng hook wide on the stroke of half-time.
