Plymouth slipped to second in Sky Bet League Two following a thrilling 3-3 draw with promotion rivals Wycombe.
Substitute Myles Weston smashed home a 90th-minute shot to level as Gareth Ainsworth's Wanderers fought back from 3-1 down.
Yann Songo'o headed home Graham Carey's corner on 58 minutes to make it 3-1 but within two minutes Adebayo Akinfenwa pulled a goal back for the visitors.
Argyle failed to clear Joe Jacobson's cross and Akinfenwa side-footed in from close range.
Jake Jervis slid in to give Argyle a 2-1 half-time lead following a brilliant run by on-loan Bristol City striker Paul Garita.
Garita sped down the right, cut inside and then turned the ball back from the byline to give Jervis the easiest of finishes on 40 minutes.
Jervis was involved in the build-up to Argyle's 18th-minute leveller, setting up Oscar Threlkeld whose cross was turned in by Jordan Slew despite the best efforts of Wycombe keeper Jamal Blackman.
Wycombe took an eighth-minute lead when Akinfenwa pounced on a short pass to tee up Scott Kashket, who drove on before curling the ball past Luke McCormick from the edge of the box.
Both sides shaved the woodwork - Akinfenwa's first-half header came off a post while Garita's second-half, first-timer skimmed the bar.
