A hat-trick by Scott Kashket inspired League Two Wycombe to a 5-0 hammering of League One strugglers Chesterfield in their FA Cup second round tie at the Proact Stadium
Wycombe were better in every department and after Paul Hayes and Kashket gave them a two-goal lead at the interval, Chesterfield collapsed in the second half as Jon Nolan was shown a straight red card.
Wycombe looked sharper from the start and had a great chance in the 13th minute when a clever back heel by Adebayo Akinfenwa sent Kashket clear but he rolled his shot wide.
Ryan Fulton had to leap to his left to claw behind a shot from the edge of the area from Luke O'Nien two minutes later but Wycombe got the goal they deserved in the 21st minute when Hayes met a Kashket cross with a header that went in off the bar.
Chesterfield were rocked again three minutes later when they failed to clear a corner allowing Kashket to drive the loose ball in from six yards and Wycombe could have scored again three minutes into the second half, but this time Hayes drove his shot over from 12 yards.
Chesterfield were reduced to 10 men when Nolan was sent off for a wild lunge on Dominic Gape in the 64th minute and Wycombe made it three six minutes later when Kashket was played in to sidefoot past Fulton.
A mistake by Fulton gave Anthony Stewart the fourth in the 75th minute and Kashket completed his hat-trick two minutes later following a slip by Gary Liddle.
