Gillingham have signed Tottenham defender Connor Ogilvie on a six-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old had penned a new contract extension with the Premier League club and will head to the Gills to join in with pre-season.

England youth international Ogilvie can play both in the centre and as a left-back, and had loan spells at Stevenage, where he featured 18 times last season.

"I can't wait to get started to be honest, I'm looking forward to it and I want to be playing games regularly and hopefully I can get that here and push on," Ogilvie said on Gillingham's official website.

Gills head coach Ady Pennock added: "I am really pleased to secure Connor's signature. He's got pedigree having come through the youth ranks at Tottenham and what is an added bonus for us is that he has experience of playing league football."
