Carlisle still waiting for first win after 1-1 Wimbledon draw

Highlights from Carlisle v Wimbledon in the Sky Bet League Two

Jabo Ibehre grabbed his seventh goal of the season to earn a 1-1 draw for Carlisle after Wimbledon had taken a first-half lead through Andy Barcham's strike.

But the result left Carlisle still searching for their first league win of the season after their third draw in four games.

Jason Kennedy went close to giving Carlisle an early boost when he thumped a header against the post after getting on the end of Danny Grainger's corner from the right.

After an even opening phase of the game it was Tom Elliott's turn to trouble the Carlisle defence when he got his head on Barcham's ball from the left, forcing Mark Gillespie to dive full length to grab the effort.

Wimbledon went in front in the 36th minute when Lyle Taylor weaved his way towards the by-line before clipping a low ball back into the box where Barcham was unmarked as he fired first time low past Gillespie from 12 yards.

Mistakes at the back almost cost Carlisle dear as first George Francomb was denied by Gillespie then Elliott worked a great shooting position only to get too much on his finishing effort which curled over.

Dons had put the shackles on Carlisle dangerman Ibehre, but the striker finally found space in the box in the 67th minute to drill a low shot home from 15 yards after the defence failed to deal with a Grainger free-kick.
