Swansea midfielder Roque Mesa has joined Sevilla on loan for the remainder of the season, just six months after arriving at the Liberty Stadium.
Mesa signed a four-year deal with Swansea in July after joining from Las Palmas in a £11m deal.
However, the 28-year-old has struggled to make an impact in Wales and has played only one Premier League game since Carlos Carvalhal took charge of the club in December.
Swansea confirmed the move in a statement on Tuesday, which read: "Swansea City midfielder Roque Mesa has joined La Liga outfit Sevilla on loan for the remainder of the season.
"Mesa has made 16 appearances for the Swans since his summer switch from Las Palmas.
"But with a number of options available in Carlos Carvalhal's midfield, the Swans have agreed to let the 28-year-old link up with a Sevilla side which faces Manchester United in the Champions League next month.
"Sevilla, who are sixth in La Liga, face Leganes in the Cope Del Rey on Wednesday night before travelling to Eibar for a league game on Saturday."
