Swansea manager Bob Bradley thinks his side showed some promising signs despite their 3-2 defeat at Arsenal on Saturday.
Bradley's side found themselves two goals down after 33 minutes after Theo Walcott capitalised on two defensive errors.
The visitors fought back through Gylfi Sigurdsson just before the break but Mesut Ozil extended Arsenal's advantage before substitute Borja Baston pulled another goal back.
Arsenal were then reduced to 10 men after Granit Xhaka's red card but they held off a late Swansea rally to secure all three points.
"I didn't like the start," Bradley told Sky Sports. "We were second to plays and we obviously couldn't get tight enough so they pushed us deep.
"We allowed two goals from our side that are not good goals. They were poor goals.
"When you come here and put yourself in that kind of position, it's not easy. Somewhere in there though we started to show a bit more confidence, we started to connect with some passes and push a little tighter.
"There's still some things we can look at and feel good and keep going."
Despite the promising performance, Bradley insists there's plenty of things to work on for his side ahead of their clash with Watford at the Liberty Stadium next week.
"The players are going in a good direction," Bradley said. "They kept at it and had a real chance to come out of here with a point.
"After one game, it shows the potential of the group but it also shows some things that need work."
