Swansea City have signed Australia international goalkeeper Mark Birighitti on a two-year contract.
The 25-year-old arrives at the Liberty Stadium on a free transfer after spending the last five years with the Newcastle Jets in Australia's A-League.
Birighitti, who has one Australia cap, was named in the league's team of the year in 2015-16 and he becomes the fourth senior goalkeeper on Swansea's books.
Lukasz Fabianski, Kristoffer Nordfeldt and Gerhard Tremmel are also competing for Swansea's No 1 jersey.
His only club experience outside Australia came in 2015 when he spent a six-month loan spell in Italy with Serie B side Varese.
While with Varese, Birighitti worked alongside Swansea coach Gabriele Ambrosetti, of whom he said: "He's a fantastic person and I'm looking forward to working closely with him again.
"Before coming here I knew there would be strong competition at the club.
"But my plan is to take each training session as they come and try to be better than them. I have to make sure when the opportunity comes that I take the opportunity with both hands and don't look back."
