Dawson late show downs City

Substitute Craig Dawson powered home a late header to earn West Bromwich Albion a 1-0 friendly win at Bristol City.

Peter Odemwingie had the ball in the net early on for the visitors at Ashton Gate on Saturday but his effort was chalked off for a foul on Liam Fontaine. Nicky Maynard hit the post for City and was then denied by a superb save from Baggies debutant Ben Foster. Dawson grabbed the winner in the 89th minute, nodding in Graham Dorrans' corner from the left.
