Goalkeeper Ivan Lucic has signed for Bristol City from Bayern Munich for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old trained alongside Manuel Neuer at the Bundesliga giants last season, but has now joined City ahead of their Championship campaign.
Lucic signed a two-year deal with the option of a further year after a recent successful trial.
"I believe he needs to earn his stripes and previously he's been a training goalkeeper really at a top club," head coach Lee Johnson told City's official website.
"There's no compensation for actually playing games, so we'll look to get him a loan club somewhere. It's a bit of a punt but one we think is worth taking."
Lucic has represented Austria at a number of youth levels and made 15 appearances for Bayern's second team since joining in 2014.
Bristol City have already signed a high-profile name this summer with Iceland international defender Hordur Magnusson joining from Italian champions Juventus earlier in July.
