Shrewsbury 2-1 Wimbledon: Shrews swoop for late win

Highlights of the Sky Bet League 1 match between Shrewsbury Town and AFC Wimbledon.

Goals from Tyler Roberts and Aristote Nsiala in the second half earned Shrewsbury a 2-1 win over AFC Wimbledon in League Two.

Roberts gave the home side the lead after 64 minutes with a free-kick but Andy Barcham quickly brought the visitors level only for Nsiala to secure the win with two minutes to go.

Wimbledon applied much of the early pressure, forcing a number of corners, but chances were initially in short supply at either end.

Tom Elliott was first to threaten with an overhead kick off target for Wimbledon before Shrewsbury striker Freddie Ladapo's low 20 yard shot was comfortably gathered by visiting goalkeeper James Shea.

Wimbledon almost took the lead on the stroke of half time but a powerful 25-yard shot from midfielder Tom Soares cracked against a post.

The game was just over an hour old when Roberts opened the scoring direct from a free-kick with an effort which gave Shea no chance.

Wimbledon were level soon after as Barcham netted with a shot which went in at Jayson Leutwiler's near post.
