Coventry maintained their record as the only league team without a home defeat but will feel they should have got more than a 1-1 draw against Walsall.
The Sky Blues' goal came courtesy of an unlikely hero when defender Chris Stokes headed home in the 35th minute, and for a long while it looked to be enough to bring victory but Tom Bradshaw equalised 10 minutes from time to earn the Saddlers a point and keep them above their opponents in Sky Bet League One.
Joe Cole's free-kick was flicked on by Adam Armstrong and that allowed Stokes to turn the ball home from close range.
Cole and Armstrong were at the heart of most things enterprising from the hosts' point of view and the latter could have ended on the scoresheet.
The on-loan striker, with 16 goals to his name this season, dragged a first-half effort wide and then, after a jinking run, saw his effort superbly saved by Neil Etheridge.
Walsall were never out of it and Coventry started to sit back and defend their advantage the longer the game went on.
The visitors got their reward late on when Bradshaw volleyed home an angled shot after a cross from Rico Henry.
