Kevin Stewart will undergo a medical in Portugal on Thursday ahead of his move from Liverpool to Hull, according to Sky sources.
Sky Sports News revealed on Wednesday that Hull had agreed a fee, which could rise to £7.5m, with Liverpool for the midfielder.
Stewart was given permission to fly back from Liverpool's Asia tour to begin talks with the Sky Bet Championship club and will now link up with his prospective new team-mates on their pre-season training camp in Portugal.
The 23-year-old will become new manager Leonid Slutsky's fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Liam Edwards, Fraizer Campbell and Ola Aina at the KCOM Stadium.
Stewart, who began his career at Tottenham, only signed a new five-year deal at Liverpool last November and featured nine times under Jurgen Klopp last season.
