Barnsley have signed Manchester United striker Ashley Fletcher on a month's youth loan.
The 20-year-old, who is yet to make his senior debut at Old Trafford, will stay at Oakwell until February 6 and is eligible for Saturday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern Area final first leg against Fleetwood.
"I'm buzzing to be here," Fletcher told the club's official website. "I've come to get some league experience and help improve the team.
"I'm looking forward to this weekend. Fleetwood are a good side and it will be a good test but with the quality we've got here, I'm sure we can do the business.
"Having trained with the lads [on Thursday morning], I can see the quality that they bring to the club."
Fletcher, who has progressed through United's academy, has been a regular goalscorer for the club's U21s and had been hoping to make his first-team breakthrough under Louis van Gaal this season.
