Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has paid tribute to former boss Claudio Ranieri after the Italian was sacked by Leicester.
Ranieri led Kante and the Foxes to the Premier League title last season but the 25-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer. Meanwhile Leicester now find themselves in the relegation zone after five straight top flight defeats.
Leicester announced that they had parted company with Ranieri on Thursday following that poor run of form but Kante took to his social media outlets to praise the 65-year-old and to thank him for what they achieved together last year.
The post read: "Big thanks with emotion to M. Ranieri for all he has achieved: for the club, for the fans and for me."
Kante has been hugely impressive once again this season and is on course for his second successive Premier League title, with Chelsea 10 points clear at the top of the table.
Leicester welcome Liverpool to the King Power Stadium on Monday Night Football in their first match since Ranieri's departure.
