Jamie Vardy is a doubt for Leicester's Premier League clash with Manchester City on Tuesday because of illness.
Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri confirmed after their 1-0 defeat at Liverpool on Boxing Day that striker Vardy was playing with a fever.
Vardy started the match at Anfield despite reporting that he felt unwell and was substituted after 69 minutes.
Ranieri said: "I have to look at Jamie Vardy over the next three days and see if his reaction is good or not.
"He played with a fever. I didn't want to give him more minutes. I wanted to preserve him."
Riyad Mahrez was also substituted because of fatigue, but Ranieri insists his players are ready for a top-of-the-table clash at the King Power Stadium.
He said: "We have another big rock against us but it is okay, we are ready. Now we have to clean our minds and restart.
"The players don't like losing and that is good. I love this spirit."
