Leicester winger Marc Albrighton sees no reason why in-form team-mates Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez would want to leave the King Power Stadium in the January transfer window.

The Foxes moved top of the Premier League on Saturday as they capitalised on Manchester City's loss to Stoke City by demolishing Swansea 3-0, with Mahrez netting a hat-trick.

Those three goals moved Mahrez joint-second in the Premier League scoring charts alongside Romelu Lukaku on ten goals, while Vardy sits comfortably in first with 14.

The pair's spectacular form has inevitably led to speculation that one or both could leave in January but Albrighton believes neither would benefit from a move.

"There will always be speculation, look at Harry Kane last season," Albrighton said. "He was on fire at Tottenham all season and there was speculation of him going here, there and everywhere.

"But we're not worried about speculation, Vards [Vardy] and Riyad [Mahrez] both know what they bring to this club and how loved they are here.

"I don't think it would do them any good to go anywhere at the minute. We're top of the league, so why would they want to leave?"

Leicester have been a revelation so far and Saturday's defeat of Swansea marked the 16th consecutive Premier League game in which the Foxes have scored.

Albrighton says the entire team is brimming with confidence after their recent run and believes the sky is the limit for Claudio Ranieri's men if Vardy and Mahrez can continue to score goals.

"We could have been four or five up at half-time and you can see teams fear us going forward," Albrighton said.

Claudio Ranieri refused to single out Riyad Mahrez and said the whole team contributed to Leicester's win at Swansea

"Jamie and Riyad have been brilliant for us this season and who knows where we would be without their goals and creativity.

"But if they can continue doing it that could play a massive part in what we do this season.

"The way the season's going it's wide open. The big teams are losing games and dropping points which is unusual because they're normally quite solid.

"We've just got to concentrate on what we do because it's got us to where we are so far. If we continue doing that we won't go far wrong."
