Norwich have completed the signing of winger Alex Pritchard on a four-year deal from Tottenham.
Pritchard appeared to be on the brink of an £8m transfer to Brighton on Tuesday after the Seagulls' bid was accepted by Spurs.
The 23-year-old had also agreed personal terms with Brighton and was due to begin a medical late on Tuesday night, but their hopes of signing the former England U21 international were scuppered by a late bid from Norwich, who were relegated from the Premier League last season.
Pritchard spent the end of the 2015/16 campaign on loan at West Brom, making just two appearances, having been voted Brentford's Player of the Year after a successful loan spell in west London in 2014/15.
He told the club's official website: "I'm ready to come here, fight for my place and hopefully play well.
"I feel I need to go out and prove myself again in football. I'm 23 now so it's about time I had my own path really.
"I've had a full pre-season and with our first game at the weekend I'm looking forward to hopefully bedding myself in quickly."
City manager Alex Neil added: "Alex is an exciting player who is capable of both scoring and creating goals.
"He is proven at this level having excelled at Brentford two seasons ago, and adds to our attacking options. I'm really looking forward to working with him on a day-to-day basis."
