Crystal Palace have agreed a fee of £9m including add-ons with Sunderland for Connor Wickham, according to Sky sources.
The England U21 striker scored five goals in three games towards the end of the 2013/14 season to help preserve Sunderland's Premier League status, but he managed just six in the whole of last season.
And he could become the second new striker at Selhurst Park this summer following a loan deal for Chelsea's Patrick Bamford.
Alan Pardew has also signed France midfielder Yohan Cabaye and goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.
