Crystal Palace have been told to pay £17.6m to sign Lille captain Ibrahim Amadou, according to Sky sources.
Roy Hodgson remains hopeful the versatile French midfielder will move to Selhurst Park, despite having two bids rejected by the Ligue 1 club, one of which was £16m, and the other a loan with the option to buy.
Lille are under pressure to sell players as they need to comply with Financial Fair Play rules, but no agreement for the 24-year-old has yet been reached.
Sky sources understand Amadou is valued in the region of £20m but Lille's financial problems mean they would sell for less.
The Ligue 1 side must raise €25m to avoid potential relegation to Ligue 2 for breaking French financial fair play rules.
The Cameroon international joined Lille in 2015, and has scored two goals from 74 league appearances.
