Crystal Palace have made a bid for Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar, according to Sky in Italy.
Palace manager Roy Hodgson has made signing a striker a priority in the January window as his first-choice option Christian Benteke has scored just once in 16 games.
The 24-year-old, who earned his first call-up for Senegal in March 2017, has scored four times in Serie A this season after netting 10 last year.
During his nine-year spell with the Italian club Babacar has spent time on-loan with three different clubs, with spells coming at Spanish third tier side Racing Santander, Serie C side Calcio Padova and Modena FC, who dissolved in November 2017.
Hodgson faces an injury crisis at Selhurst Park and has admitted he needs up to seven new signings to help steer the Eagles clear of relegation.
Jeffrey Schlupp and Andros Townsend were injured during Monday's 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Brighton adding to Palace's growing injury list that already includes Scott Dann and Jason Puncheon, who are out for the season.
