Crystal Palace striker Connor Wickham has sustained a 'serious injury' to his right knee, according to manager Alan Pardew.

Wickham was forced off on a stretcher shortly after half-time during the Eagles dramatic 5-4 defeat at Swansea City on Saturday.

The 23-year-old left the Liberty Stadium on crutches and with a brace strapped to the joint.

And Pardew said: "It's a tough day for us. Connor looks like he has got a serious injury. 

"It's serious. We just have to wait and see on the scan. It's too early to say."
