Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has confirmed Joe Ledley will miss the FA Cup final on Saturday against Manchester United.

Ledley limped out of Crystal Palace's 2-1 win over Stoke on May 11, just 11 minutes after coming on as substitute.

The 29-year-old former Celtic midfielder was initially thought to have sustained an Achilles problem in the challenge with Stoke's Charlie Adam at Selhurst Park, but scan results revealed he had fractured his fibula.

Pardew confirmed Bakary Sako will be fit for the final at Wembley meaning the Wales international is the sole player to miss out.

"Sako trained today, which gives us a full complement other than Joe Ledley," he said.

"It's going to be a terrible shame to miss him, but everyone else is fit and well, and had a good week.

"Joe is fingers crossed for the Euros for Wales. He's just on recovery at that one; scans etc, to see how quickly it heels.

"The Wales physio works for us so, when the Welsh team meet up, he goes across with Joe. It's perfect for everyone and for Joe and for us. It gives him more of a fighting chance because he knows exactly what he's done and where he is."

Ledley has made 30 appearances for the Eagles this season.
